Having owned a varied selection of disobedient terriers over the years it became clear letting them off the lead in public was not a good idea if we ever wanted to see them again. My Patterdale Baffle (whom the field is named after) suffers a familiar breed trait of selective deafness and poor recall. In 2016, after enquiries from a lady in Rawdon who rehomes dogs and needed a local safe place for them to run, I realised a dog field could be in demand – and a few years later here we are now offering two due to demand!
It has given me great pleasure to see how many people and dogs in the area have benefited from this service. We have welcomed some wonderful people along the way with inspirational doggy stories.
Private, secure, dog-friendly fields booked for your personal use
Looking for a place to let your dog off the lead safely, to run, exercise, train or have fun in a secure environment then look no further than Baffles Dog Fields.
We are very pleased to offer two securely fenced fields solely for exercising dogs. 'Baffles' is on Brookleigh farm Menston and 'Baffles@Burley' is close by on Otley Old road in Burley in Wharfedale.

The fields both have two metre high deer fencing, with a double wire rabbit netting overlap, to stop even the nimblest of dogs jump, squeeze, scramble or dig their way out!

With one booking possible per time slot, you will have the use of the field entirely to yourself.
We are open every day of the year during daylight hours.
​
Please be aware that if you come in Winter, at times it gets dark early,and so you will need to bring a torch.
​
DOGGY BIRTHDAY PARTIES!
The parties can include doggy birthday cake, dog party bags, box of games - whatever the customer wishes for their party guests to enjoy.
